Who we are?

The UK Civil Aviation Authority was set up in 1972. We are the UK’s aviation and aerospace regulator, making sure the industry meets high safety standards and members of the public are protected and treated fairly when flying. We also promote efficient use of airspace to try and help reduce the environmental impact of aviation on local communities while managing any security risks.

Since 2021, we’ve taken on a ‘new frontier’, space distributing spaceport and satellite licenses.

From sustainability to space, innovation to inspiration, we are recognised as a world leader at the cutting edge of this exciting and ever-changing sector.

The diversity of what we deliver with our aspirations to provide members of the public, operators, government and others with confidence and stability is unique, and our Graduate Programmes will provide you with an enviable set of skills to enable you to become a rising star.

What Graduate Schemes are available?

We have two Graduate Programmes available: Business Management and Aviation Travel and Finance (Graduate Analyst). Both programmes are very different so choose the scheme that best suits you and where you see your career ‘taking off’

Where are we based?

We have two main offices; Our Westferry office in Canary Wharf, London and Aviation House office close to Gatwick Airport. As a Graduate, you’ll be expected to work at either location alongside hybrid working.
