Staff Report

The 2016 FNF Campus Tour continued Sept. 26 with a stop at Boca Ciega High for a game against Pinellas Park. Each stop of the FNF Campus Tour includes two parts:

  • A representative from FNF and multiple recruiters from the US Army host a luncheon for teachers and administrators.
  • FNF and the US Army host an informational tent with giveaways inside the stadium during the Friday night football action.

FNF Magazine partners with the US Army each fall for the FNF Campus Tour. The goal of each tour stop is to share the benefits of the US Army’s March 2 Success program — a program geared toward improving students’ test-taking and study skills.

FNF Magazine and the US Army arrived at Boca Ciega on the morning of Sept. 26 for the luncheon with teachers and administrators. Sgt. Smith, Sgt. Infante and Sgt. Eduard delivered a presentation on the March 2 Success program to the 40 educators in attendance. FNF provided Subway subs, chips, drinks and dessert for the attendees.

FNF and the US Army recruiters returned for the rivalry game that evening, and set up a tent, table and inflatables for fans to enjoy. Fans at the game enjoyed all of the give-aways, which included t-shirts, water bottles and other swag. Boca Ciega High student Samantha Giramaldo collected the grand-prize giveaway — a US Army swag bag.

Pinellas Park picked up a road victory — 36-32 over host Boca Ciega. The Boca Ciega High stop was the second of four Campus Tour stops this fall. The others include:

Clearwater High — Sept. 16

Largo High — Sept. 30

Dixie Hollins — Oct. 7
