Northeast holds off St. Petersburg in US Army Campus Tour stop

2019, Tampa

The 2019 FNF Tampa Bay Campus Tour continued Oct. 25 with a stop at Northeast High for a game against St. Petersburg. The hosts from Northeast came out on top 35-21.

This game served as the fourth of six stops with the US Army during the fall season.

As part of the US Army tour, FNF and Staff Sargeant Ortiz educated teachers and football fans about the March2Success program, which provides an online study program to help students prepare for standardized tests, improve school work and review materials. The program is also designed to provide tools for educators and parents to track and encourage their students.

Several educators gathered for the luncheon, which was organized by Northeast High Assistant Principal Marc Allison.

The FNF Tampa Bay Campus Tour’s partnership with the US Army will include six stops in the region, beginning with a visit to Palmetto High in August. At each stop, FNF Tampa Bay staff and US Army recruiters will host a luncheon for teachers and administrators, providing our partners with an opportunity to share information about the March 2 Success program. FNF supplies subs, chips, drinks and dessert for each teacher in attendance.

The US Army’s FNF Tampa Bay Campus Tour also includes a stop at each of these schools for the Friday night football atmosphere. FNF Tampa Bay staff sets up a tent and table by the entrance to each school’s field. The interactive and engaging experience with the US Army recruiters is tailored to the football audience with halftime promotions, give-aways, announcements and presentations.

The FNF Tampa Bay US Army Campus Tour will include the following stops:

Aug. 30 — Manatee at Palmetto
Sept. 27 – Largo at Countryside

Oct. 4 — Dunedin at Seminole
Oct. 25 — St. Petersburg at Northeast
Oct. 30 — Hillsborough at Alonso
Nov. 1 — Cardinal Mooney at Southeast
