Diversity & Inclusion

A place to belong

"Celebrating difference" is one of our core values. To us, promoting and sustaining a more inclusive and diverse workplace is essential to how we operate. We believe our differences result in a greater achievement. And there is always work to do. We are always striving to increase representation of people from underrepresented communities at all levels.

Our inclusion networks

We have many inclusion networks. Made up of our people, these groups identify and help drive the change we need to improve our culture and hold impactful awareness-raising events right across the year. Some networks are firm wide, but we have other local and regional groups too.

  • GECCO – Gender Equality at Clyde & Co
  • NAWI – North American Women’s Initiative
  • ACED – Achieving Cultural and Ethnic Diversity Network
  • BIPoCC – Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour at Clyde & Co Network
  • LEAP – Leading and Empowering Asian Professionals Network
  • Pryde & Co – LGBTQIA+ and Allies Network
  • EnAble – Disability, Neurodiversity and Accessibility Network
  • PACT – Parents and Carers Together Network

Sustainability

By 2030, we want to cut our emissions by over half. By 2040, we aim to achieve Net Zero entirely. Like every business the environmental impact we cause can be felt, and we’re taking responsibility for that. We have a clear market-leading plan founded on a science-based approach to deliver on our promise.

We’re taking a holistic view on how we can reduce our impact on the world. Our strategy uses evidence and research from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) which is a collaboration of international climate change groups that individually assess and approve companies’ ambitions.

We’re committed to operating our business in a responsible and sustainable manner and acting as an exemplar to the industry, demonstrating high ambition and high transparency and contributing to thought leadership.

Pro Bono initiatives

We’re committed to making sure communities around the world have secure and fair access to legal advice and justice. We’ve developed partnerships with legal clinics and NGO’s (non-governmental organizations), but you’re not limited to those. If you have a cause you believe in, we want to hear about it and find a way to help. By supporting these initiatives, you get to broaden your skills and knowledge in different ways.

We encourage all our colleagues to take part in our social impact programme which covers a range of non-legal volunteering and fundraising projects. We partner with registered charities, provide support at food banks, help with fundraising and regularly work with our partner schools to help children improve their reading abilities. It’s about using our wide range of skill sets to make a positive difference.
