Job Purpose:
Kickstart your career with a unique opportunity to join our Performance, Analytics & Evaluation team. As a Strategic Analyst, you'll gain hands-on experience in administration, data extraction, and supporting our team of Strategic Researchers, Analysts, and Evaluation Officers in producing impactful research, analytical reports, and briefings.
What You'll Do:
- Handle administrative tasks ensuring work meets high standards and deadlines.
- Extract Data: Assist in gathering information by extracting data from systems for analysis.
- Conduct Research: Perform research to support team analysis.
- Prepare Data: Help prepare data for reports and presentations.
- Analyse Information: Support information analysis to enhance team insights.
- Engage in Meetings: Present statistical information at various corporate meetings.
- Manage Information: Adhere to Authorised Professional Practice (APP) on Information Management and the Home Office Code of Practice on Management of Police Information (MoPI).

What we are looking for
- Currently enrolled in a university degree program. We are particularly interested in applications from STEM students.
- Keen interest in analytics and basic understanding of analytical concepts and processes.
- Familiarity with analytical software, data visualization tools, and computerised query building is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Creative thinker.
- Professional and ethical standards, promoting a positive image.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the flexibility to meet operational demands.
