Commercial Surveying Apprenticeship

Job description

Our Apprenticeship Programme is a great option for entry-level individuals that have a keen interest in starting their career within the property industry. Our aim is to nurture creative and dynamic property consultants. We will provide the training and support you need to become future leaders.

Successful Apprentices will be enrolled to the Level 6 RICS Chartered Surveying Apprenticeship upon joining where you will obtain a BSc degree qualification in Real Estate.

Our partnership with University College of Estate Management will ensure you complete your studies, one day per week which will be delivered online, and our offices, four days per week.

During the first three years of your studies, you will work in your team. For the final two years, you will join our Graduate programme where you will work towards completing your APC to become RICS qualified. At this point, you will join our rotational scheme.

  • Commercial Valuation

What does our Valuation Team do?

Our valuation experts create asset valuation reports, financial reporting, business risk services and offer assistance with decision making. We work with a variety of properties and conduct market research to analyse the value of assets, determine the risk and tax implications of a transaction and present reports and related data to our clients.

  • Property Asset Management

What do our Property Asset Management Team do?

We support investors by pulling together the component parts of an investment portfolio to deliver ‘sale ready’ and efficiently managed investments with minimal fuss. We drive and protect value and income by taking a hands-on approach to managing assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help prepare and maintain records of surveys
  • Support the preparation of reports detailing survey results, findings, and analysis for clients or senior surveyors.
  • Ensure that all data and reports adhere to relevant regulations and standards.
  • Interact with clients or contractors under the supervision of a senior surveyor to clarify project requirements and survey results.
  • Work closely with a team of surveyors and other professionals to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Participate in on-the-job training, learning from surveyors, and attending relevant courses or certifications.
  • Continuously improve technical knowledge and practical skills related to surveying tools, software, and industry standards.

Required skills

  • An interest in Commercial Real Estate and the Built Environment
  • Flexible and self-motivated with a real desire to deliver excellent customer service and strong client relationships
  • Proactive approach and a desire to continually learn and develop
  • Organised, efficient, able to use your initiative and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with an eye for details
  • Positive attitude and willing to learn and develop
  • You must, by the commencement of employment, have the right to work in the UK
  • Good MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint

Working Hours

The Firm’s core hours are from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. and you may choose to start and end your day around these hours, provided you still do your 7.25 hours per day (e.g. 8.00 am – 4.30pm, 10.00 am – 6.30 pm). This position also involves out of hours working on an ‘as necessary’ basis.
