Outstanding outcomes for student career prospects
When surveyed 12 months after graduation, our class of 2022 had secured a variety of high-flying roles with many reputable employers, across a range of sectors. An impressive 95.3% of our surveyed masters graduates had secured employment or pursued further study*.
Across all disciplines, 80% of our 2022 masters graduates secured annual salaries of £40,001 or above, reflecting the strong employment outcomes of a Henley masters*.
*Statistics relating to careers and employment were obtained from the responses of the 190 masters graduates who completed the Henley Careers Outcomes survey in the autumn of 2023, 12 months post-graduation.
English language support
We typically accept IELTS 6.5 with no component below 6.0 in any sub-skills. If your English language ability is below the minimum requirement, we may ask for evidence of proficiency.
We may ask you to attend an English language course before you begin your studies with us. Our Pre-sessional English Programme equips you with the skills and language needed for academic success, including critical thinking, self-reflection, learner autonomy, research skills and integrating sources. Our Programme is accredited by the global association of Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes, which guarantees you will receive a high-quality student experience.
Facilities and support arrangements
Our £25 million Business School features a large lecture theatre, seminar rooms, a dedicated research space, café and library. The dedicated Henley Business School library is the perfect place for individual and group study, and offers easy access to specialist publications, journals and reports, electronic databases, and other useful resources.
Meanwhile, the ICMA Centre features three state-of-the-art dealing rooms. We were the first business school in Europe to introduce them, and the only university to have them on such a scale.
We offer personal and professional development, academic support, study skills, help with languages and career advice throughout your time at Henley. We have specialist services to help with your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, including, but not limited to:

Scholarships are available to support high-potential students. All applications are automatically considered for a scholarship. Simply submit your application for a Masters programme starting in 2024 and you will be automatically notified if you are successful. Location
A short distance from the vibrant town centre of Reading, which is only a 25-minute train journey to the international business hub of London, our Whiteknights campus is perfectly placed for you to learn, play and grow. We also happen to be right in the middle of the UK’s answer to Silicon Valley – with large multi-national businesses such as Oracle, Huawei, Microsoft and Pepsi Co on our doorstep, so professional opportunities are extensive.
The campus is the perfect setting to enhance your learning. Awarded 13 consecutive Green Flag awards, it’s recognised as one of Britain’s top green spaces, boasting 130 hectares of stunning parkland, including a large lake, woodland walks and the beautiful, botanic Harris Garden.
Accommodation
Halls accommodation is available to postgraduate students, subject to some restrictions. Whether you choose self-catered or catered accommodation, you’ll soon be part of a community that feels like home to you. And where possible, we always try to keep our postgraduates together. Your safety is our top priority. That’s why we have regular patrols by university security staff, and CCTV is constantly monitored 24/7.
Culture
Reading University Students’ Union is run by students, for students. And its elected officers are there to offer help and support in every aspect of your student life, and ensure your views are heard. Eat, drink, shop, study, socialise – it’s all available right on your doorstep.
The university is also home to more than 150 clubs and societies, so whatever you’re into, we’re confident we’ve got you covered. And whether you're a sports enthusiast or a complete beginner, there’s something for everyone at our on-campus SportsPark.
