BCS Computing Teacher Training Scholarships
As well as £31,000 tax-free funding to help you through your initial teacher training, our scholarship programme supports your learning and development with exclusive BCS resources – including two years’ free membership (MBCS), coaching and CPD opportunities.
Location
BCS Scholarships are available to trainee computing teachers in England only.
What we're looking for
If the following describes you, then we can look forward to your application:
- You’ve achieved, or expect to achieve, a 2:2 or above in a bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field like mathematics, or engineering.
- You’ve applied, or are applying, for an unsalaried initial teacher training route in England which will lead to qualified teacher status at secondary-school level in computer science or computing.
- You meet the eligibility criteria for student finance
How to apply
There are two parts to the application process:
- Online application
Make your online application at any stage of your teacher training application – you don’t need to have a confirmed teacher training place, or to have even started your application yet.
- Online assessment
If your online application is successful, you’ll be invited to an online assessment where you’ll give a 15 minute presentation and be interviewed by two of our assessors
