We enable the assembly teams to continuously improve and sustain their process through our expertise to deliver the utmost product quality, whilst providing validated equipment to facilitate the philosophy of ‘Right first Time’. We are responsible to develop assembly processes, design and purchase equipment and influence future products to meet the requirements to build vehicles meeting cost, quality, and volume targets.
In this role you will:
- Learn the manufacturing planning process from concept idea to implementation on the shopfloor applying lean manufacturing principles.
- Work on a variety of different projects, ranging from new model introduction to site development.
- Apply design and manufacturing skills learnt at university in a real time environment.
- Conduct data analysis using different software products (e.g. Microsoft VBA) and develop coding skills.
- Have a great exposure to other departments and experts in the industry, not only at plant Goodwood but other sites and with suppliers.
- Be involved in a variety of different task and topics, not only engineering, but project management, finance, logistics, production, etc. and will learn the ins and outs on how an OEM runs.
- Develop your presentation skills and support management on a day-to-day basis with arising tasks.
- Be assigned a personal mentor for all queries, doubts ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
What we are looking for
- Studying a bachelor’s or integrated master’s degree and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in a Mechanical, Manufacturing or Automotive Engineering course.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing Systems and / or Quality Systems would be beneficial.
- Fluent verbal and written English; German skills would be advantageous.
- Able to adapt working approach depending on specific requirements, work independently and organise yourself as well as collaborate with the team.
- Use your initiative to take projects and tasks from concept through to a complete and implemented solution.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office tools.
