Data and Modelling Graduate

Job description

The data and modelling graduate role is in a growing area of the business, you will have a keen eye for detail, an enthusiasm for analysing and managing data as well as a determination and resilience to drive improvements. You will also be expected to build your understanding of our products and systems and to build strong relationships with the stakeholders across the business.

Key areas of work:

  • Supporting the development of credit scorecards and strategies; working with key stakeholders to ensure credit risk is appropriately managed
  • Working with stakeholders to analyse and understand key changes in the portfolio and the impact they have had on the Expected Credit Loss in the month
  • Work with the Data Team and the wider stakeholder group to extract, summarise and report on key portfolio MI.
  • Identify key data issues and gaps within the Quant Risk Data and support the Data and GTS teams to resolve any issues.
  • Explore innovative methods to provide key insight to the business

You will become an expert in Together's credit risk data and the tools for extracting, manipulating, analysing and presenting it (SQL, Python, Power BI, MS Office), with the aim that after the programme you will be ready for a senior analyst role.

Throughout your programme you will be fully supported by a dedicated Academy mentors, as well as being by Senior Leaders and previous Together Graduates during the course of the programme.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum achievement or expectation of a 2:1 degree in a numerical based subject such as data analytics, finance, maths, statistics, engineering, sciences related.
  • Graduated in 2024 or are due to complete in 2025;
  • Good knowledge of Excel and coding (such as SQL or R) would be very beneficial;
  • Use of data visualisation tools such as PowerBI or Tableau is desirable but not mandatory as training will be provided.
  • An interest and enthusiasm to work in the Financial Services industry
